About Kristen

Kristen E. Schwarz joined DBS Law Group, a Professional Corporation in the fall of 2011.  She has a background in special needs and dependency law.

Kristen received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2011.  She received the Justice Marshall Francis McComb Memorial Scholarship at Southwestern.  Kristen holds a B.A. from University of California, Irvine in English, and an M.A. in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, School of Professional Studies.

While in law school, Kristen was member of Southwestern’s Public Service Program, and was recognized for contributing over 75 hours of pro bono work.  She interned with Los Angeles County Counsel for nearly five years, focusing on issues concerning the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).  In 2007, Kristen was named as County Counsel’s Volunteer of the Year.  She also interned with the Children’s Law Center, and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Carl J. West of the Los Angeles Superior Court, Complex Panel.

Kristen is the Director of Membership for the Pasadena Junior League.  She is an active supporter of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House and the National Brain Tumor Society.
